About Pack 503

Cub Scout Pack 503, located in Naperville, Illinois and chartered by the Prairie Elementary Home and School Association offers scouting to all boys in first through fifth grades. For 100 years, scouting has focused on building character, training youth in the responsibilities of participating citizenship and developing personal fitness. Come join us in the adventure!

Scout-O-Rama 2012 (FAMILY Event)

May 19th from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Cantigny, Winfield, IL
Pack 503 will have a booth at Scout-O-Rama this year where Scouts can sign banners for soldiers. Come join us a shift at the booth and then visit the other fun activities and exhibits on the grounds at Cantigny.

Webelos Overnight Campout (Webelos I and II – SAVE THIS DATE) – (District Event)

June 2nd thru 3rd at Greene Valley Forest Preserve
The Webelos Overnight provides a tremendous opportunity to get a big jump on the Rank Achievements for Webelos. Do your best to not miss this event. Counts as an overnight event with a Troop. Watch the Thunderbird District’s website for more information, and Pack 503s or speak with your Den Leaders. The Webelos will meet and work with a Boy Scout Troop during this special camp.

Bicycle Rodeo

Summertime Program – Activity 1 of 3
The June ‘Summertime Activity’ will be a fun and wild Bicycle Rodeo at Prairie Elem. The Rodeo starts at 9:00 and will end by 11:00. Bring your bicycle and helmet. The rodeo will include course challenges, and a bike inspection while promoting Safety. Attend all 3 Summertime Activities and earn the Summertime Activity Pin.

Kane County Cougars (Family Event)

Summertime Program – Activity 2 of 3
July 13th at 6:30 at KC Cougars Field, Geneva – Reserve your tickets and bring the whole family! Ticket Packages: Option A: $10 seat only; Option B: $17 seat and 1 hot dog with soda voucher. Please buy your tickets EARLY. Tickets can be reserved at the May Pack Meeting or the June Bicycle Rodeo. Both options come with a special KC patch. Attend all 3 Summertime Activities and earn the Summertime Activity Pin.

Rain Gutter Regatta

Summertime Program – Activity 3 of 3
Pick up a Rain Gutter Regatta kit at one of the Scout Shops or at The Chalkboard. Prepare and paint your boat however you’d like and bring it to race. Time/location and more details to come! Attend all 3 Summertime Activities and earn the Summertime Activity Pin.

Camp Achievement (Fall Campout)

Whether you plan on camping for the night or not, all boys should plan on coming to ‘Camp Achievement’ at the Greene Valley Forest Preserve. Each Den will have an opportunity to work on Rank Achievements during the day with a great campfire program at night. Bring your tent if you want to spend the night.  More information to come on the Camping Tab. (September 22-23)

Troop Open House for WEBELOS

Here’s an opportunity to spend an afternoon several Thunderbird District Boy Scout Troops. You’ll have an opportunity to interact, ask questions and learn more about what they do. Last year the following troops attended: 99, 100, 107, 133, 222, 505, 510, and 555.  This event can count toward the Arrow of Light requirement – “visit one Boy Scout-oriented outdoor activity”.  More information to come.
